According to Article 2 of the Executive Agreement of 29 September 2021 creating the innovation unit Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Innovation in Agriculture (LIA):
“The purpose or general objective of the innovation unit Laboratory for Innovation in Agriculture (LIA) is to carry out applied research, innovation and the transfer of research and knowledge results in the fields of sustainable agriculture and rural development, as well as in other immanent and/or related fields, such as agricultural biotechnology, organic farming, the agri-food industry and, in general, any other field related to agriculture, the cattle industry or the rural environment, in a broad sense.“
